HOPKINTON – David Rosen, 59, died Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Concord Hospice House after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
David was born August 1, 1951 in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Beatrice and the late Harold Rosen. David graduated from Nashua High School in 1969 and attended Keene State College. He worked in landscaping and construction, most recently focusing on renovating and managing apartment buildings.
David enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved fishing with his buddy Mark Patenaud. Known for his kind and generous nature, David will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
David is survived by his loving wife, Laurie Haney Rosen; mother Beatrice; brother Richard (Jane); and in-laws Emily and Hoyt Haney, Lynne Haney, Lisa and Scott Metzger, and Judy Metzger; nieces Lauren and Emily; and nephew Ryan.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Church in Henniker.
A private burial will take place in Ellsworth, Maine at a later time.
